Easy tour - Involves walking over relatively level terrain, possible gravel, or uneven ground in some areas. Comfortable walking shoes & light jacket are recommended.
Passengers are welcome to stay in the vehicle for any stops they do not wish to join.
Liliuokalani Japanese Garden: (Drive through narration)
Black Sand Beach 20-30 min: Easy walk to the beach from the parking lot. Beach is uneven ground (sand)
Rainbow Falls 15-20 min: Easy walk from parking place to waterfall only a few hundred feet.
Historical Down Town Hilo: ( Drive through narration )
Macadamia Nut Farm 35-40 min: Customers can walk as much or less as they want. Customers can walk to see macadamia production or around fruit trees. This is also our lunch stop. Currently closed. Is due to reopen in Sept. 2022 We currently have another local lunch stop.
Volcanoes National Park approx 2hr (The following sites are located inside the National Park.)
Steam Vents: Easy
Thurston Lava Tube: Moderate must be able to go down and up several steps. Uneven ground
Kilauea Crater & Sulfur Banks : Moderate. Must be able to walk on dirt path for about 5 min.Other wise you can stay in the vehicle or at nearby steam vents.
Kilauea Visitor Center & Exhibits: Easy
Kilauea Iki Crater look out : Easy

Below is a calendar of our departure times
The Volcanoes National Park Tour departs from the ship pier. When departing the ship you will enter a large building through double doors. Before exiting please look for your guide holding the sign “C Big Island Tours.” We ask all guests to please plan to be at the designated departure location at least 15-20 minutes before the departure time. This info will also be on your confirmation.
Hilo Hawaiian Hotel or Grand Naniloa Hotel Hilo - a DoubleTree by Hiltona - Hotel departure times are based off our other departure times. Departure is usually 9:15 or 10:15 am You can call our office at 1-800-901-0468 for more info
